an attempt at using my camera timer; you can see how the sleeves "poof" out at the seams, and the neck stayed up (because I had just hefted it back into place). I also look like I've gained ten pounds, which I think is the nature of the boxy-ness. (I'm not sure what the deal is with the side of it poofing out, that was ne to me....) I may not be done tweaking this just yet. Posted by Hello

My Sonnet wasn't right either. Everything hit in all the wrong places... I ended up taking the sleeves off...making it into a vest. It's wool so I am going to make a "matching" felted bag from the sleeves!!

It's always so disappointing to spend all the effort on a sweater that you don't love. I say it's definitely worth tweaking with until it looks how you like. Good luck!

K_ could you re-seam the shoulders? It looks like maybe a little "give" would relieve the poofing thing, but I can't tell from here.
Maybe a good blocking?
I hope you work it out, since I like the neck the way it sits (weight of sleeves will make it always draw down like that, but I think it's flattering). Good luck with thos babies!
